Here are the details:

Friends rolls out "Official Friends" vendor and professional services program package

We rolled out our first “Official Friends of the Community Maritime Park” designated vendor. Please take a moment to view the story that ran on the pnj.com site today (Friday, 1/18/2008) about Micah Baldwin and her firm, MBaldwin Photography, the “Official Friends of the Community Maritime Park Photographer.”

We will use this format as part of the “Official” vendor package. The entire package includes:

1) Write up in the Reader Submitted articles section of the pnj.com web site. Friends’ writes the article copy, submits it and a photograph if there is one available from the vendor to pnj.com for publication;

2) Write-up in the Friends emailed news report. Friends writes the emailed news report introductory article;

3) A listing in the “Support Your Friends’ Official vendors!” section of the Friends web site at http://www.CommunityMaritimePark.com (which will be up by the end of next week);

4) A license to use the Friends’ logo with the official designation added;

5) Creates the art for the “Official” licensed insignia;

6) Gives the business or professional services an attractive hardwood frame to let customers and clients know they are the "Official Friends of the Community Maritime Park" vendor or professional service in their market segment!

Friends looking for a home

Friends is looking for a property to set up as its offices. We'd prefer a downtown street-front so that we can garner the visibility that comes with that type of location. We will also needs access into the evening hours so that working Friends can participate in volunteer projects when they get off their job.

Friends will be more than happy to accept shared arrangements with another business. So if you have excess square footage, then we would love to talk with you about that arrangement as well.

In the short run - 3 - 6 months, Friends will need a rent-deferred arrangement until we are incorporated as a non-profit and have some donations in the treasury.
