Subject: Community Maritime Park

Dear Councilman Hall,

I am writing you in support of the Community Maritime Park. In
my opinion there has been no more important initiative for this
city in recent memory that this park. It is an established fact
that these parks are a boon to their cities. One need only look
at the revitalization of Baltimore???s waterfront that the
building of Camden Yards caused. The same is true of San Diego
and it new PETCO Park. If you and the other members of the
council have the vision to do what is right and find a way to
finance and build the park the economic impact of this park will
be tremendous. It will provide the community a source of pride
and economic revenue. The challenge of leadership is to find the
courage to do what is right. I am confident that if you can
answer the challenge to build this park, history will judge that a
good call.
